How do i delete my subscriptions, purchases and history?

You can't delete subscriptions and the purchases history. The best you can do is to hide purchases.

Apple doesn't say why but I could easily see somebody deleting an item and then 5 years later regretting it and bitterly complaining that Apple was "stealing" from them by not making the item available for redownload and keeping a record of their purchase. Better to err on the side of caution.
Thank you, that seems to be the general consensus. I wonder why they are content to store the whole history? I personally think that there should always be an option to totally delete.
