New iPhone transfer data but apps are not finishing load

They will not load, no matter how many days you give it. After a week or two, I ended up canceling download on all the things and reinstalling the apps. They still had my info on them when I installed them from scratch.

I’m having the same problem but started canceling the app downloads one at a time and YouTube appears to be the main cause. Once it was canceled all the other apps downloaded quickly. You tube is still stuck and will not download. On the App Store instead of a cloud or “get” I see the box in a circle progress bar with no progress.

Try deleting Youtube app on new phone. Shut down new phone. Restart new phone. Be happy when all your apps start downloading. This worked for my daughter's new iPhone 12 after data transfer from her iPhone 6 (not that it matters, I think). ;)

Stay connected to the internet and continue using the iPhone. Depending on the internet speed all apps will get downloaded from the App Store automatically. Apps don't transfer from iPhone to iPhone, only the app data along with app links to the App Store gets transferred.

Apart from the above following will also not get transferred.

• Content from the iTunes and App Stores or PDFs downloaded directly to Apple Books
• Content synced from iTunes, like imported MP3s or CDs, videos, books, and photos
• Data already stored in iCloud, like iCloud Photos, iMessages, and text (SMS) and multimedia (MMS) messages
• Face ID or Touch ID settings
• Apple Pay information and settings
• Apple Mail data
• Apple Music

This does not work. Apps are not continuing to download. They are ‘stuck’. When app is located on App Store, a cloud with down arrow is available. Symbol is touched and ring appears, briefly, then returns to cloud. Apps have been ‘stuck’ for over 24 hours. What now?

I am having this same problem. I had even taken my phones to a cell phone tech store to have them do the transfer. They sent me home with over half my apps still loading, with the same reasoning as this answer, but it’s been a whole day and no progress. I even paused the download on all but one app, but zero progress even on that one app after 8 hours.

Never had this issue when changing to new iPhone. Apps loading is stuck and very irritating. Nothing seems to be working. It has been stuck for over 24 hours now. It has never, ever taken this long. Connected to high-speed Internet to no avail.

I am on day 7 of apps not loading. Have you found any resolution?
