bootcamp earphones constant high pitch sound regardless of sound level

I installed windows 10 and everything was running smoothly until a day later when my earphones suddenly started emitting a high pitch noise (earrape) whenever any sound was played at a constant level. It is pretty much unusable unless I want tinnitus :( not sure what the issue is, I’ve tried reinstalling the drivers but that hasn’t helped. I have cirrus logic cs8409 (ab 51) drivers and when I switch drivers to generic or endpoint, I get no audio.

No Mac OS works perfectly fine, bootcamp works fine if I use the MacBook internal speakers as well, just earphone/headphones. I might just try setting up bootcamp again since this didn’t occur at the beginning, only started a little later and I want to play my steam games that aren’t on gfn :(

Thanks for the help. Still kinda confused since I just reinstalled bootcamp, luckily everything I need is on an external ssd, but now it’s working fine which strange to say the least but hey at least it’s working so I’m not complaining, maybe I messed around with some drivers or bootcamp didn’t set up very well 🤷🏽‍♂️

problem ((for 3 years everything worked like a clock, but a week ago, when switching to window 10, I start to reproduce any sound, my wired headphones Beats Solo3 (they squeak not really loudly) but in the Mac system there is no such problem

I never managed to solve the issue unfortunately :( probably an issue with the 3.5mm jacks but I just got myself a sweet new gaming rig so it’s all good, still would be nice to know if anyone solves it since my MacBook is my productivity machine since I require primarily macOS and some windows

so it’s these earphones from Amazon called blukar, nothing fancy. I also tried wired Apple earbuds and the problem persists. I also tried beats headphones, same issue.

If you are using TRRS headphones, they cause issues on Macs in Bootcamp/Windows, but work find in macOS. This issue has been around for several years.
