I bought a new I phone 12 and put the sim from my old iPhone 7 , I can’t make calls and I can’t receive calls either

I can’t make calls as I switched to iPhone 12 from iPhone 7

You Need a SIM Card:

Do you see the words "No SIM" on the top-left corner of the screen? If so, you need to place your SIM card in there. Important: Contact your carrier, prior to doing all of this.
