I have discovered that the notification sound for incoming texts is not working for certain people. Most texts have sound but I have at least one contact whose texts I miss because there is no text sound. How can I fix this?

Go to the message thread from that person. Tap on their name at the top of the text, then Info. Check to see if Hide Alerts is turned on.
