If you have transferred all data from your own iPad to a new device that is intended for a different user, you might be best advised to wipe it - and then setup “as new” for the intended user, creating a new AppleID account if one doesn’t already exist. Everyone should have their own AppleID - that is used with their own devices.


To do so, begin by following this process to erase the iPad and properly prepare it for a fresh set-up:

Once prepared, you can set-up “as new”:

If you’d like to share purchased Apps and Apple Services, you can use Family Sharing:
