I can hear but can’t see airplay

I’m doing airplay from my Mac to my Apple TV. I can hear the sound in my tv but can’t see anything.

tvOS 14.6 broke AirPlay audio from MacBook Pro Updated Apple TV to tvOS 14.6 earlier today and now it seems I can’t AirPlay audio from my MacBook Pro to it. Tried several times and no audio comes out. Tried it from my iPhone 11 and it works fine. Restarted Apple TV & no go either. Anyone else with this issue? Thanks.

My audio has stopped working when I use AirPlay from my computer to my AppleTV. It used to come throug h my TV speakers, but now there is no audio at all. Thoughts? What is your model Apple TV? Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

What are you trying to stream? Some services/content may block AirPlay, and then audio may get through anyway. Some services/content may not support AirPlay, or nor support AirPlay to your specific older model Apple TV.
