Imac data transfer
Just purchased a new Imac 27” and want to quickly transfer data from 8 year old Inac 27”. Different thunderbolt ports. How do I transfer quickly?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
If you have a Time Machine backup drive, use that. If you don't, connect the new Mac and the old Mac directly together with an Ethernet cable and use Migration Assistant during Setup Assistant.
