system updates

my macbook won't update from os x 10.10.5 not showing in app store but in App Store i can't even download any apps as says i need 10.14 or newer i have only had this laptop a couple of weeks and is really irritating as i have lots of work to do

system updates when i go into system preferences system updates is not in there so i go on app store and it says no updates avalible, but it won't let me download any apps as it says it needs the newer version of 10.14 or newer and says i am currently using version os x 10.10.5, this is very irritating and have only had this macbook for a couple of weeks but i have some work i have to do and safari is not letting me open pages as it says updates needed!

MacOS update not showing up in app store I'm currently on El Capitan 10.11.6 but I need to update my MacOS. I've clicked on the 'update' section of app store but it says no updates available. I've also clicked on "software update" from "about this mac" and nothing shows up either. I have checked my System Preferences and the box for "automatically check for updates" has been ticked already. I've tried to restart my computer but it still hasn't worked.

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and depending on which MacBook Pro model you have, click on El Capitan, High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina, or Big Sur.It needs to be at least a 2012 one to run Mojave.
