Wifi dropping on new M1 Macbook Air

I've had this laptop for one week. I work online and teach using video conferencing.

I've noticed that the wifi completely drops several times a day. If I turn wifi off and on again it comes back quickly, otherwise it takes a long time to reconnect.

Today, I had both my ipad streaming a tennis match and my phone using the internet at the same time as teaching a class when my macbook dropped internet but my ipad and phone didn't. They're all at the same distance from the router and connected to the same network.

I've looked at the recommended settings and I've done a diagnostic analysis but nothing has helped.

Please can you advise?
