Check Settings > [Your Apple ID] > Subscriptions.
If you’ve ever canceled a subscription, you’ll see two categories there: “Active”, and “Expired”. The latter lists all your previously canceled subscriptions.
My thought is that that is a way for Apple to provide quick access should you want to restart a subscription abs Apple gets there sane. Jaded? Maybe a smidge but we do live in a free market consumer driven society.
You cannot.
But, of course, there is no reason to do that, since you’re the only person using your Apple ID, and there is no charge involved since the subscription has been canceled.

Note item B - 1 - ii here.
Remove it from where? If a subscription is expired, then you can no longer use it.
Understood. I just wasn't sure what the OP wanted to do with that listing.
I agree. I suspect the objective is hiding it from someone.
Sale not sane. Don’t even get me started with apples insane Autoincorrect

Apple’s policies and design are done for Apple’s reasons. Those reasons, what they might be, and their intent are not open for debate here.
