Can I charge my iPhone 12 on my MacBook Air?

I just got a new iPhone 12, and I had not considered the fact that it does not include a brick to charge the phone. I have a 2018 MacBook Air and I wanted to know if it is convenient to use it to charge the phone since it has the compatible port to use the USB-C charger.

I would also like to know if I should let my phone fully charge (100%) or is it really better to unplugged it at 80%.

Thank you!

iPhone 12

Yes, but if you have older power adapters and cables around you can also use those. Make sure when charging from your computer that it does not go to sleep this may stop power to the USB ports. You don’t have to stop at 80%
