how do I get my phone to get my iPhone12 to ring

Some things to check:

Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207099

Do Not Disturb: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204321

Flip the Silent/Ring switch on the side of your phone so you see this bubble on the top of your screen.
