Hi, I am relocating from USA to UK and wanted to know whether my iMac 24 inch will work in the UK in terms of the voltage difference between the two countries. Obviously I will have to purchase a socket adapter to make sure I and able to plug into UK style sockets. My main worry is the voltage difference.
Your power adaptor is already “worldwide” with respect to voltage and frequency.
You WILL need a proper AC “mains” power supply cord.

You'll be fine, you can buy a cheap plug adapter to convert from the US to the UK style plug and it will work as normal.
The only problem would be that your consumer warranty would not be covered, as it is not an international warranty.
You should buy an IEC cable with a UK 13 amp plug as shown below, cost is under £2.00. All supermarkets and electrical retailers sell these cables off the shelf.
Do not buy 13A plug adapters, many are unsafe cheap imports and none of these items conform to current UK safety standards.

My mistake, I was confusing it with the iPhone warranty, an edit post function would have been good right now!
