don't see expected backup in icloud

I don't see an expected backup in iCloud to my iPhone X.

Also restored from an earlier version of a backup from iTunes prior to attempting to get the latest iCloud backup. iCloud indicates that the phone does not have a backup available. Phone is set to automatically backup to iCloud.

If you go to Settings><yourname>iCloud>iCloud backup, you should see the last time your device was backed up. Otherwise, from Settings><yourname>iCloud>Manage Storage>Backups, it will show backups, tap on your device name, and it will also show the last backup. Just because it is set to automatically backup to iCloud, things can happen that can interfere with the backup process. You need to check.
