MacBook Air startup sound

I have a 2020 MacBook Air running bigsur and I’m trying to disable the startup sound but as soon as I do and close the sound app it re enables the startup sound. Is there another way to disable it?

Scratch that, I just updated to the recent big sur 11.4 and it appears to work now

Yes, it was a bug in Big Sur 11.3.1 that has since been resolved in 11.4
