MacBook Pro M1 2021 stopped connecting to external monitor

My new MacBook Pro M1 2021 have been connected to the external monitor via HDMI for a few months and it was all good.

Suddenly the connection stopped working: my monitor is showing "out of range".

I connected my old Macbook Air to the same monitor to make sure it's not about monitor - and yes, the connection works.

So it confirmed that the problem is with MacBook Pro M1 2021.

I think it happened right after the latest iOS upgrade - but I am not sure... maybe just a coincidence.

I googled potential troubleshooting (playing with different resolutions) and try them all and NOTHING helps!!!

thanks for trying to help!

The article is totally useless though.

They ask to open a link from "About this Mac" - I do it - and the link is broken!!!

The other information is not relevant at all.

To clarify, I had a successful connection for several months and suddenly it stopped working with a message "out of range" on the external monitor.

I googled of course and heard a LOT of complains about MacBook Pro M1 2021 having problems with displays including external monitors. Nobody bound a solution so far except to stop buying Apple products moving forward..

I don't want to give up - I just bought this laptop.

I hope Apple is aware and it preparing a new udpate that will fix it. I will wait.

By the way, 'External monitor" is not the only problem with M1 2021.

Safari started crashing every time I open it - out of blue.

But I googled a solution and it helps so far. The solution is to shut it down then start and hold Option+Comman+P+R for 20 seconds. It actually fixes Safari!
