video playback is jumping or sluggish whilst audio is fine since Big Sur 11.4

I am having problems with watching video on my MacBook Air since a recent update - 11.4 Big Sur.. Im not sure if it is due to the update but Im not aware of anything else that has changed since the problems began. Ive tried watching video on various platforms such as websites eg BBC or YouTube vids or amazon prime and Netflix also.

About my Mac book air 13-inch, 2017), Processor 1.8 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Graphics Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB

Any suggestions or help on this matter would be appreciated

We see you're having some trouble with video playback quality since updating your Mac. To clarify, is this just happening in Safari? Have you restarted your Mac? Have you tested this with other browsers? Also, do you have access to another network to see if the issue continues?
