You need one of the adaptors in here and then you can connect the device to the TV via an HDMI cable.

Unfortunately, these suggestions did not work. I believe that I will have to connect via cables, as have no internet and TV is a 2017 model, updated software on it via ‘hotspot’ and does not offer an ‘AirPlay’ option.

I recall reading under Apple support about cables to connect, but will have to revisit to see what I may need to buy?
