If you mean the passcode - the four or six digit nunber used to lock your iPad, then I'm afraid you will have to erase the device. Please see If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support

You could ask a friend to help, or go to an Apple Store who might be able to reset it for you.
