USB port on new MacBook Air

I backed up my old MacBook Air to Seagate. My new MacBook Air does not have the typical USB port. Do I need another cord/connection to plug in the seagate to transfer the data?

You need either a basic USB-C to USB-A adapter or a complete

cable with USB-A on one end and USB-C on the other.
