Hi. I need to add subtitles to a film. All well and good but for the fact that I have to change the font size and the alignment each time I add text. Is there not a way of presetting the font, the size and the alignment without having to change it every time? Surely the anser is 'yes' but I've no idea how... thanks before hand
The answer is yes.
As you have observed, if you create a new title from the titles browser each time you will get the app's preset defaults that are different than you custom presets. .
To avoid carrying over the app's default presets, make your first title with the text and presets that you want. Then select it and Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste it to the next place in the timeline that you want to use it. Substitute your new text and save. Repeat over and over as necessary. That will preserve all of your custom presets.
