Sorry to hear that you are having issues shutting down your iPhone 6. One thing you can try is Force restarting your iPhone. This is a safe process that does not require you to back up any of your data.

To force restart your iPhone 6, Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
