Why is Safari not an option in my preferences?

Safari follows most Mac applications, and has its own preferences.


The system preferences shown from the  menu contain system-wide macOS system functions for macOS itself, and not for Apple and third-party apps including Safari.


To view or change the Safari app preferences settings, launch Safari, and select the Preferences... menu item from the Safari menu.
