What does the crescent moon next to a contact in my iPhone mean and how do I get it done to do to my phone plz

Should the 'BELL' have the line across it or not?, it's the contact that has the crescent moon beside it, no messages they were deleted, How do I remove the crescent moon beside the 'Contact"?
