Apple Watch won't start

My Apple Watch has been in storage (safely at my parents) for a couple of months, my watch now won’t start, hard resets don’t do anything by make the apple logo flash briefly and it’s to all intents and purposes useless. Any suggestions?

tried the 10 second both button reset, tried the side button only reset, tried the 10 second both button followed by 20 second side button reset?

it must be charging to display the apple logo in frequently.
