The builtin camera suddenly stopped working and now my mac does not show it anywhere, the only place where it appears in on the list under System Information, but it is not appearing at all in System preferences.
Anyone knows how to solve this?

If you'd not tried SMC reset that may help.
Also see if startup in Safe mode could be
useful to further troubleshoot the Mac.
If you still can’t use the built-in camera and you have an Intel-based Mac, resetting the SMC might help.
