How come you can no longer copy individual songs to iphone from Mac

I dont understand why the Music App doesnt allow you to drag and drop songs from my library to iphone from Big Sur? I am aware of the sync Artist or album. But I dont have room to copy complete artist/albums and want to just copy my favorite songs from artists. This seems like we took a step back from what Mac is known for when comes to ease of use. Bring back itunes!!! Or at least reinstate drag and drop for individual songs.
