How to upgrade my old iPad version 9.3.5 into iOS 10?

i have an old ipad that i would like to use to play games but i am unable to download the game unless i have ios 10. per software update, it shows that it's ios 9.3.5 and it says software is up to date. how do i update my software to ios 10? Model # MC989LL/A and serial number DY****KPH. Thanks

Your iPad is an iPad 2. Unfortunately iOS 9 is the last version you can install on the device as it is not compatible with iOS 10. You would need to get a newer device if you need iOS 10 or above.
