On battery power, when I close the lid after 1-2 hours I come back and start working. The MacBook is turned off / rebooted, the work starts with a gong and starts to run as after a reboot. How do I solve this?

I have a MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2019) running Big Sur 11.3.
I finally found a solution to the annoying problem of my Mac restarting due to the sleep/wake failure.
Go to Settings/Battery/Power Adapter. Check the option "Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when display is off."
No more sleep/wake failures.

When you shutdown, it will have to come back on, which makes a chime.
Granted, I may have missed what you're asking since you posted wit the "Code Insertion" tool, which messed-up your text.
