my iPhone (7) show the check Mark next to wifi but the wifi icon does not appear

If your Wi-Fi is connected but the Wi-Fi icon is not showing up at the top of your screen, this may be unexpected behavior. We would recommend you go into your settings, forget your Wi-Fi, turn Wi-Fi off, restart your device and then reconnect to your Wi-Fi. Lastly, make sure your device is up to date.
