Why is my iPhone not charging even though the charger is working well

My charger is working well yet my phone isn’t charging it is also saying a warning about the cable housing being wet even though it wasn’t touched by water

Check the charging port for lint or other debris and see this:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t charge

Also see:

About splash, water, and dust resistance of iPhone 7 and later

Water and other liquid damage to iPhone or iPod isn't covered by warranty
