I received a call saying that my one year free security for my MacBook Pro was expiring today. They asked if I wanted to cancel or pay $390 to continue. Didn't sound right? Said to type in support.us and answer questions. Is this a lit company?

The only coverage that Apple offers is AppleCare+, and that is only for hardware support.
macOS already has fantastic malware protection built into it, but if you'd like to have additional virus protection on your Mac, Malwarebytes has an excellent reputation on this site.

No, it does not sound tight. All such calls are scams from criminals. Do not interact with the callers.
