Use the Safari browser only to visit How to get old versions of macOS. This will provide a link to the Mojave 10.14.6 download in the Mac App Store. Perform a Time Machine backup before you upgrade.

I have a MacBook Pro 10.13.6, 13" with Intel Core i5. I want to upgrade from High Sierra to Mojave 10.14. When I try to open the installer, it says that I need an OS of 10.14. Yet other sources indicate that I can make this upgrade. What gives?

You must use the Safari browser and follow the link above to upgrade to the Mojave 10.14. Be sure to perform a backup prior to the upgrade.

The process works since I was able to successfully perform the upgrade on my workstation.
