Outside of some Corporate or App Development environments, all Apps are downloaded and installed from the Apple App Store.
Apps that are sourced from the App Store have been “vetted” by Apple to be compliant with software policy - and to be free from malware. As such, insofar are is reasonably possible to provide assurance, Apps sourced from this path are “trusted”.
