iTunes 12.11.3.17 plays one song from a playlist or on shuffle and then nothing. If I click on anything in iTunes like file, edit,help etc it then plays the next song. This just repeats with every song. I am runniong on Windows 10 with all current updates. Thanks
Additionally I now notice that the bar showing how far into a song you are, sometimes never starts other times goes for a few seconds before stopping. Thanks
The usual explanation is that you've accidentally unchecked all songs, which you can do by ctrl-clicking on a checkbox. In the Songs view tap Ctrl+A to select all, right-click, and click Check Selection from the context menu. If that option isn't given use Edit > Preferences > General > Show: List view checkboxes and try again.

I have uninstalled iTunes 12.11.3.17 and reinstalled 12.11.0.26 and all the problems go away. Not sure where the issue might be but there is definitely an issue with that version and perhaps some window updates ??
I uninstalled itunes and then reinstalled the same level and it fails the same way. Then I uninstalled and did not update to current and that fixed all the problems.
Hmm. I'd got as far as playing one song at a time and missed the fact that interacting with the app unfroze it. That is odd behaviour. I'd be tempted to uninstall and then reinstall iTunes to see if there is any change, or tear it all down and reinstall the previous build.

Thanks, all my songs do have the check mark. Weirdly I do not have to "play" the next song it plays if I just click on help or something else in iTunes
