Apple watch 6 portability
Will an apple 6 watch (GPS+cellular) bought in the US work in Colombia (where Claro is a listed provider) or is it necessary to buy locally to enjoy full functionality?

Apple Watches are region based, and only work with carriers in the regions they are meant for.
A U.S purchased watch will not work with Colombian carriers as they are a different model from the ones used for Colombia.
You will need to buy it locally if you want to actually use cell service with it there.
