Recover deleted messages

Unless they were backed up to iCloud or to a backup on a computer, you cannot in most cases.

If you do have an iCloud or computer backup:

The sole exception is sometimes cellular carriers may be able to restore your SMS messages, but that is something you would need to ask them.

Unlike other phones, iPhones do not store user data or messages on their SIM cards.

iPhones only store cellular network settings such as the phone's phone number, though you can import contacts stored on a SIM card by a non-Apple phone.

if you have a backup for your phone it is possible to get messages on phone,but it difficult to recover from sim if its lost ( check by inserting sim into another phone and check)
