My iphone will not sync with my itunes in my PC

Spent 2+ hours trying to get my iphone to sync with my PC itunes. Can copy songs over to the iphone but not playlists. Please help, very frustrated

Typically you would select the device with the icon near the top left, then click the Music tab, opt to sync selected playlists, make your selection, and sync.
