It depends upon your IOS version:

Set up Find My iPhone on all of your devices [iOS12 and earlier, Macs with Mojave or earlier] - https://support.apple.com/HT205362

--> Home screen > Settings > [your Apple ID] > iCloud > Find My > turn on/off

Set up Find My on your iPhone, Mac, AirPods, or other devices [iOS 13 or later, Macs with Catalina or later] - https://support.apple.com/HT210400

[mobile devices:] How to turn on/off Find My for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

--> Home screen > Settings> Name > Find My > on/off

Your question is different from the issue being discussed in this thread/topic. It can be very confusing to have two topics being discussed in one thread. Out of courtesy to the origiinal poster and to make things easy for those of us helping, please start a new thread with your question.
