Will an unlocked iPhone 12 mini work with a 4G SIM card overseas? I understand I won’t have 5G but I want to ensure that my phone will still work on the local network if I don’t have a 5G SIM card. I can’t find a concrete answer. Please help!
If you bought your phone locked to a provider by selecting that provider at purchase (eg in USA buying it with AT&T chosen) then you would get that message if you put an O2 SIM in it.
If you bought it unlocked then it will take any provider.

Thank you. I was told that if you used a 4G SIM card on an iPhone 12 it would say that the “Sim not compatible/authorized.”
I have used the same SIM card for 6 years! Currently use it in an iPhone 12 Pro!
