My new iPhone 12 has a charging cord that is different from the previous ones I've had. The end that should plug into the device that plugs into the outlet is smaller that what I have. Can I use it anyway? or what?

Hi, the cable is a USB-C to lightening Cable. To use the cable you either need a USB-C Power Adapter, (with this you can use fast charging) or a computer with a USB-C port. If you have a lightning cable from a older iPhone it will work with your new iPhone.

They have just started supplying the cable only with the 12 series and any from the current lineup, It is to cut down on e-waste. If you are getting a new power adapter please don’t get a unbranded one, they can be unreliable.
