Unable to open ibooks file in Pages

I have an ibooks file from an iBook I made back in 2017. iBooks author doesn't exist anymore (I just found out) so I have to use Pages. I am unable to open the iBook in pages. When I select the ibook and do file-open with, I select Pages from 'all applications' and get: The document "titlename.ibooks" could not be opened. Pages cannot open files in the "Electronic Publication (Apple Books)" format.

How am I able to edit this document or convert it to something else that has the same interaction functionality I built with it in iBooks?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

You must have the .iba file for your book (not the .iBooks file) to open it either in iBA or in Pages. Do you have that somewhere?

You must have Pages 10.1 or later to open an .iba file. If yours is earlier, you will need to upgrade.

If all you have is the .iBooks file that you open with the Books app, the only possibility may be to copy/paste the content into another app, like Word.

You might also search google for some kind of .iBooks to epub or pdf conversion service.

I appreciate all of the help.

Is there anyone who can open my iBook file and export it to a pdf or something? I can't open it in Pages. I get an error. I can only open it in iBooks but can't export from here.

I've tried multiple tools online for converting it but none would take the iBook format.

Unfortunately I don't. Is there any way to convert this to anything useable on a PC?
