This morning I suddenly had spam invite each day from today onwards. There is no corresponding email so I can’t report it as spam. I cannot delete the event as there is no option to do so. I moved important events out of my iCloud calendar into a new calendar and then deleted the original calendar but the spam
invite remains. Help! Any suggestions on how to get rid of this?

Unfortunately there are no unusual calendars- just my hotmail and iCloud.
I have managed to ‘hide’ my hotmail calendars so I can no longer ‘see’ the events but I would prefer to remove them completely for safety reasons.
If you tap Calendars at the bottom of the iPhone Calendar app display, do you see any unexpected subscribed calendars shown? The colors should match the color of the spam, too—that can tell you which calendar is involved.
If no subscribed calendars show or no unexpected calendars, you’re either seeing spam in a calendar that you intended to subscribe, or maybe you’re getting calendar schedule invites via arriving mail?
I think I discovered an invite via email in my junk which I have reported. Unfortunately the invite still remains in the calendar if I ‘show’ the calendar. I have chosen to ‘hide’ the calendar but I would love to be able to delete the invite.

Do you see anything unusual?
Nothing unusual. Just my iCloud and hotmail accounts
Delete the event directly, or delete the spam with the invite, or both.
If you’re hiding a calendar, you’ve either subscribed to a spam calendar, or you’ve accepted an invite into that calendar.
Tap on the event. There should be an option to decline it.
