You have to ask about the support for AirPlay. Support has to be programmed into the iOS app. If they don’t have that, then you have no other options than using the app on the Apple TV (4th generation or later) directly, instead of streaming from one device to another.

Attempting to stream Hockey from Flo Sports to Apple TV Second gen. From both my iPad 6 and from an iPhone 6 we get audio but no video. FLO Sports says they are optimized for Apple TV 4 gen. do I have any options other than a new Apple TV?
