Struggle changing track volume in GarageBand (ver. 10.3.5)

I can move the volume slider, but when I play the song, save it, or move the playhead it reverts back to its original volume.

GarageBand - Volume on track Glitches I'm working with a song in GarageBand. A track was set to +6.0 decibels, and I wanted to change that. I drag the volume back to -1.0 and everything is fine. Until I hit play, save the project, go back to the beginning of the song, etc... The volume jumps right back to +6.0. I closed the project, worked on another, and came back to it the next day, and it's still happening. So frustrating!!

Sound low on track I transfered my 50 vocal garageband compositions (5 part harmony) from my 2008 Apple IPad to the 2022 MacBook Air M2 GarageBand version. My interface is the PreSonus Studio 24c. Everything is fine but I want to now add a track (the lead voice) and the volume is substantially lower. Even when I decrease the volumes of the other tracks, I can't get my volume high enough. Help!

Alright, another update: I went into automation and changed the volume there. It's fixed now.

I've restarted my MacBook and the problem is now solved.

Edit: I spoke too soon. The problem is not solved. Sorry.
