Calories on the apple watch

I have the series 6 Apple Watch and the calories on my watch show to be 884, however when I go on the fitness app my total calorie count is 3,311. Can anyone explain why there is this difference and how to fix it?

884 is your Active energy,3311 is your total number of calories;

Active calories + Inactive calories = Total calories.
