My carplay Multi-Media has stopped working! Why has Apple (some update) ruined my iPhone’s ability to play Apple Music through my 2011 Venza’s radio system? It was working just fine until recently. I have an iPhone Pro Max. The car shows that it is playing but NO SOUND comes out?! It also shows it is playing on the iPhone and there is no sound there, either.
iOS has fixed the issue somehow in 14.5.1 so the question has been answered. It worked fine in 14.1 to 14.2 blew up in 14.3/4 then 5.1 has fixed it .

Restart your iPhone and your car. Make sure that Siri is on. If your iPhone isn'tdetected by CarPlay, make sure that CarPlay isn't restricted. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, tap Allowed Apps and make sure that CarPlay is enabled.
