In Pages Preferences, automatic correction is already checked, and I've populated some exceptions manually, but it will not autocorrect misspelled words. It will still auto-capitalize.

Yes, it was checked, but I needed to apparently check a few settings under the same tab to enable automatic correction. Thank you!
