Apple Watch series 5 not working properly after latest update downloaded.

Can you explain what is not working? Without knowing anything else, the first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

Since my i watch 4’s last update it continues to request my Apple ID password but won’t accept it, as there is no? Watch keyboard the only method is by hand. Recently I created a new Apple ID, it is shown on the device list but isn’t recognized on the watch?

I tried the rebooting of both the watch and phone to see if that fixed my problem of both poor battery life and the fact my contact names no longer show up on my watch when a text or call comes in (just the phone number). It did NOT change anything. Battery life is sinking like a stone and same problem with numbers not contact names. 😠 Frustrated with this Apple update...or should I say major step backwards?

I can’t even reset my watch. It doesn’t reset. It’s absolutely useless to me now. This update sucks.

Mine didn’t either. Basically I turned off iPhone and then watch. After a few seconds turned iPhone and watch back on and now it’s working
